Introducing Illuvium: Overword
WHAT IS ILLUVIUM?
Illuvium, in development since 2020, is an open-world RPG adventure game that incorporates combat mechanics commonly seen in the popular Auto Battler game genre.
Ethereum-based Illuvium integrates with Immutable X's Layer 2 extensible solution to eliminate transaction fees for players.
The game is a mix of fantasy space adventure with a collection of creatures and Pokémon-style battles. Players are passengers on an intergalactic spaceship that crashes into an extinct planet filled with mysterious creatures known as "Illuvials". All survivors from the spaceship begin their exploration of the planet by becoming subdued hunters and overpowering alien monsters. After that, players will fight opponents, establishing their rank through competition. Players earn ILV for winning and become part of the board.

GAMEPLAY
Players start playing Illuvium by customizing their character and choosing an accompanying drone that acts as an assistant. Defeated Illuvials can be captured via shard or minted into NFTs.
Illuvium has a free-to-play mode on Tier 0 servers as an initial experience to feel the game and practice skills. However, to participate in real matches in Illuvium, players need to invest in buying NFTs.
Illuvium has 3 main game modes:
Survival Mode (PvE): Automatic battle mode where players use Illuvial to defeat and wipe out enemies. As players move and win each batch, the difficulty of this batch becomes more difficult, but they will also earn more gold to buy stronger Illuvials. Currently, the Beta of Illuvium focuses on this feature.
The Overworld: This mode allows players to wander the mysterious land of Illuvium. Players can tour different environments and biomes as they collect shards, resources, and hunt for Illuvials.
Leviathan Arena and Ranked Arena (PvP): Players participate in battles with their Illuvial team. They need to be strategic and arrange the Illuvials in the team appropriately to win high ratings in the Arena as well as receive $sILV rewards.
Organizing the Illuvial team in a logical way is one of the most important aspects of Illuvium's gameplay. Battles can be made or broken by team synergy. Players must carefully and strategically select the Illuvial to increase their chances of winning because the combination of character classes and attributes is extremely important when fighting. So even if the opponent has Illuvial with greater power, skill level is still of the essence. This feature is intended to eliminate pay-to-win in the game.
Illuvial
Illuvial is divided into five generations and five different attributes. Each type will evolve 3 steps. Notably, the last form of Illuvial called the "Ascended form" can sometimes possess a stacked version of systems or properties.
Synergy are symbiotic relationships with each other based on commonalities of systems and properties.
The Hybrid Synergy System makes the Illuvial stronger when operating as a team in the Battle Arena. Different synergies create different power bonuses for the team, giving players more chances to win, even if the opponent has stronger Illuvial.
Fusion allows players to merge multiple Illuvials of the same type into one stronger beast, with different attributes.
Illuviary
Illuviary is a database that contains all of Illuvial's information, but initially this information is locked. To unlock, players must find and acquire the corresponding Illuvial and save their digital signatures to Illuviary.
Illuvium has integrated the blockchain element into this process by saving the name of the first person to discover a particular Illuvial next to their discovery in the Illuviary database.
Game Item
Shard
Shard is one of the most important items in the game, used to capture and control Illuvials after defeating opponents. Shard are NFTs that have many different levels based on their power when masking Illuvials. Each player is provided with a certain number of shards at the start of the game. Players can also purchase them on IlluviDEX.
Weapon
Weapons are NFTs fitted to the player's character before the battle. The weapons determine the level of the player's character, providing additional benefits for their team. Weapons are tradable on IlluviDEX.
Armor
Armor is an NFT forged from items mined on Illuvium and protects players from damage from opponents. Armor can affect battle, as each suit of armor has different properties. Armor can be traded on IlluviDEX.
Imbues
Imbues are aesthetic improvements that can increase the value of a player's collectibles by distinguishing them from others. Imbues are modular and can be applied to many items. Many different items in the game can be imbue such as weapons, armor or drones.
OTHER FEATURES
Staking
This is one of the quite common features in NFT titles. The amount of ILV tokens put into staking in the game Illuvium is currently $ 171 million.
If you are holding an amount of ILV tokens and want to make a profit, you can include in the Staking section in the game to receive passive interest.
IlluviDEX
IlluviDEX is a decentralized exchange platform built into Illuvium. IlluviDEX is used to exchange Illuvium assets, including Illuvials NFT, Land NFT, Illuvistars NFT. The 5% fee deducted from each transaction will be converted into a reward for ILV stakers.
TOKENOMIC
ILV is the main token of Illuvium, ILV token will be used to:
Means of payment of transaction fees on the platform.
In-game currency (e.g. purchase of game characters,...).
Participate in the governance of the Illuvium Council system for proposals and voting.

ILLUVIUM DAO
The Illuvium DAO consists of the $ILV token holder and is voted on a representative list known as the 'Illuvinati Council'. Council members act as community representatives, debating and voting on proposals from members.
DAO governance is handled through two types of proposals, Illuvium Configuration Change Proposals (ICCPs) used to update System Configuration Variables and Illuvium Improvement Proposals (IIPs) used to improve the protocol.
Illuvium DAO holds 1.5 million $ILV tokens in reserve. The purpose of this fund is to store revenue centrally, as these tokens are used to redistribute revenue. The main role of announced tokens is to reward players, either through in-game achievements or tournaments.
These tokens have been issued and are under the control of DAOs as well as community decisions and recommendations.
